The Purpose of Intellectual Property Unit is:
- To raise awareness about intellectual property rights among Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University faculty members, students and industrial firms in the region,
- To organize information meetings on patent, utility model potential and awareness of research results,
- To determine the scope of registration of the invention through ZBEÜ Intellectual Property Rights Evaluation Board,
- To manage preliminary patent search process,
- To evaluate the scope of patent commercialization through ZBEÜ Intellectual Property Rights Evaluation Board,
- To coordinate communication between the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and the inventor during the registration process,
- To prepare Intellectual Property Rights contracts,
- To support licensing and commercialization processes,
- To introduce research results and patents that have commercialization potential to relevant local and foreign stakeholders,
- To coordinate and update Industrial Property Rights related processes at the university.
